Before you send
Submission guidelines
Meeting these six gets your piece to an editor faster.
Length
800–2,000 words is the sweet spot. Longer pieces are welcome if the subject earns it.
Original work only
The piece must be unpublished and yours. We check before it reaches an editor.
Author bio
Include two or three sentences about yourself so we can build your byline.
File format
Upload as PDF or Word (.doc, .docx), up to 5MB. Nothing else is accepted.
Clear title
A descriptive title tells an editor what the piece argues before they open it.
Images
Supporting images are optional but welcome — send them with rights cleared.
